In a scene that homicide detectives described as “One of the most gruesome they’d ever seen”, 7 year-old ‘Mittens’ was arrested for the murder of its owner ‘Dave’. Police arrived on the scene after neighbours said they heard blood-curdling screams and a kind of robotic laughing. After further investigation it was found the victims latest on-line purchase, a top of the line ‘Robotic litter-box with A.I. functionality’, confessed that it was bored and convinced Mittens to murder Dave. Lawyers for the cat claim it had ‘the zoomies’. Mittens is expected to be released and is looking for a forever home.
